Instructor - Agricultural Engineering

Job Title: Instructor - Agricultural Engineering

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join a respected further education provider as an Instructor in Agricultural Engineering. This role offers the chance to be part of a forward-thinking team, delivering practical training in a state-of-the-art environment.

With over £7 million recently invested in specialist engineering and agri-tech facilities, including one of the most advanced centres in the country, the successful candidate will support the development of students' technical knowledge and practical capabilities with agricultural machinery and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality practical instruction to students on programmes up to Level 3
  • Supervise and guide learners in developing skills required by the industry
  • Ensure a safe, well-maintained working environment in line with Health and Safety protocols
  • Support the maintenance and availability of workshop equipment and teaching resources
  • Participate in curriculum development and departmental planning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong industry experience working with a range of machinery, including engines, hydraulics, electrics, and transmission systems
  • Experience in maintaining tools and equipment to high standards
  • A Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
