Travel: Minimal - limited to training or program coordinationPosition Overview:Qi2 is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of ROTC Military Science Instructor as part of our response to a competitive government proposal to provide support services for the U.S. Army Cadet Command's Senior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (SROTC) programs nationwide. All positions are contingent upon contract award.Selected candidates will support the delivery of the Military Science curriculum at participating universities, mentoring Cadets and supporting leadership development in accordance with U.S. Army Cadet Command (USACC) policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct and facilitate Senior ROTC Military Science (MS I-IV) courses, in alignment with Cadet Command training objectives and university schedules.
- Complete a three-phase instructor certification program as defined by USACC:
- Phase 1: Attend the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course (CFD-IC) within 120 days of reporting (unless previously completed within the past 5 years).
- Phase 2: Demonstrate content mastery and instructional proficiency on-campus under the mentorship of certified faculty.
- Phase 3: Achieve full certification by receiving a passing score (80+) on the Cadet Command Educator Assessment (CC Form 145-21-5) while serving as the primary instructor.
- Undergo semi-annual instructional evaluations and maintain an updated Instructor Portfolio in accordance with TRADOC and USACC regulations.
- Support Cadet field training and serve as an Observer/Controller-Trainer (OCT) when required.
- Ensure compliance with all Army instructional standards and contribute to the professional development of ROTC Cadets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field preferred.
- Prior military experience or familiarity with Army ROTC programs highly desired.
- Ability to complete the CFD-IC course (Phase 1) within 120 days of start, unless previously completed.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and instructional skills suited to an academic environment.
- Ability to work under the direction of the Professor of Military Science (PMS) and collaboratively with Cadet Command staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous certification as a TRADOC instructor or CFD-IC graduate.
- Experience teaching or mentoring in military or academic settings.
- Understanding of Army Learning Model (ALM) and adult learning theory.
- Demonstrated success in delivering leadership or professional development instruction.
