Instructional Designer - Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Job Purpose

As an Instructional Designer, you will develop high-quality online learning materials, including proofreading, authoring, qualification mapping, and SCORM production using Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline). This is a fixed-term, maternity cover role for up to 12 months, offering an opportunity to showcase your talents within our Learning Content team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop end-to-end e-learning materials.
2. Proofread raw content.
3. Map content to qualification specifications.
4. Author course content as required.
5. Apply instructional design principles using Articulate 360.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate).
• Proofreading and copy editing skills.
• Understanding of learning theory and instructional design principles.
• Qualification mapping skills.
• Ability to source and repurpose content.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Degree-level education; Level 2 or above in English and Maths.
• Experience with producing regulated qualifications (desirable).
• Portfolio of design or authoring work (desirable).
