Job summary

JD Sports Fashion in East Kilbride is seeking a hands-on Visual Merchandiser to support the in-store team in creating engaging product displays that bring our brand to life.

You will follow weekly briefs, refresh mannequins and window presentations, and work with colleagues to maximise sales and showcase featured products. Strong creativity, time management and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Visual merchandising or retail experience is advantageous.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow weekly visual merchandising briefs and implement these within your store.
• Create engaging displays that enhance the customer experience and support commercial performance.
• Ensure mannequins, displays and window presentations are refreshed in line with seasonal trends.
• Implement and maintain in-store promotions through the effective use of POS materials.
• Analyse store data and performance reports to support product placement decisions and floor moves.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards across all areas of the store.
• Support and share visual merchandising best practice with colleagues across the store.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.

Role overview

As part of the in-store team, you will provide visual merchandising support across the store, creating engaging product displays that enhance the customer experience and bring our brand to life. You'll use visual merchandising principles and current trends to create impactful window and in-store displays, whilst supporting commercial objectives and store performance.

Responsibilities

Merchandising

• Follow weekly visual merchandising briefs and implement these within your store.
• Create engaging displays that enhance the customer experience and support commercial performance.
• Ensure mannequins, displays and window presentations are refreshed in line with seasonal trends, campaigns and key events within the retail calendar.
• Implement and maintain in-store promotions through the effective use of POS materials.
• Analyse store data and performance reports to support product placement decisions and floor moves.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards across all areas of the store. Training & Development
• Support and share visual merchandising best practice with colleagues across the store.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate visual merchandising activity, feedback and opportunities to the Town Merchandiser. General
• Work in a professional and collaborative manner, contributing positively to the success of the team.

• Develop compelling visual displays that align with brand standards and highlight product features and promotions.
• Collaborate with store colleagues to support accurate stock availability and replenishment.
• Identify trends and opportunities to continuously improve merchandising strategies.
• Execute promotional campaigns effectively to support sales and customer engagement.
• Maintain consistent visual standards across the store. Skills & Experience
• Visual merchandising or retail experience is advantageous.
