Job summary

Smiths News is seeking an Instore Merchandiser to bring products to life on the shop floor, owning a defined territory and ensuring displays stay on-brand. You will manage POS placement, stock replenishment, and auditing while building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers.

You will work autonomously with a focus on cost-effective visit planning and delivering excellent customer service. Prior merchandising experience is helpful but not required, and being located within 15

Qualifications

• Previous Merchandising experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work autonomously and to manage own time.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to work in-store environments and handle stock displays.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory on the shop floor, managing POS placement and stock replenishment.
• Create and maintain visually impactful displays that stay on-brand.
• Audit displays and stock levels to ensure accuracy and availability.
• Develop cost-effective visit plans and efficient route management.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with store colleagues and managers.

Job description

As an Instore Merchandiser, you'll bring products to life out in the world on the shop floor. You'll own your territory, taking care of point-of-sale placement to stock replenishment and auditing. You'll take pride in first-class standards, creating and maintaining visually impactful displays, and building strong relationships with store colleagues and managers. You'll be the person who keeps everything in order, ensuring that stock is replenished and that displays stay on-brand. You'll take charge of your own cost-effective journey plan and make every visit count. If you're someone who thrives on autonomy and loves to engage with others, this role is for you.

Previous Merchandising experience would be advantageous but not mandatory. However, you will need:

• A friendly confident personality with a can do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, high integrity and reliable.
• To be located within 15 miles of advertised area.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make the right decisions under pressure.
• Full commitment to providing excellent customer service.
