Institutional Outside Sales Representative - TradeStation

What We Are Looking For

This UK-based role involves executing a sales strategy to acquire and onboard new institutional customers. The candidate will work closely with multiple departments, requiring strong cross-company engagement. We seek a high-impact individual with a results-driven approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and a focus on building institutional relationships and improving sales performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identify, prospect, lead, and win new business with institutional clients in the UK, primarily in the Hedge Fund, Family Office, and Broker Dealer spaces.
  • Create forecasts and develop qualified sales leads that generate revenue.
  • Develop sales plans, proposals, and presentations to secure new business.
  • Conduct UK market research and understand the competitive landscape in coordination with the marketing team.
  • Lead discovery efforts to identify prospect pain points and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Present demos of TradeStation’s platform and products, both in person and remotely, including at industry events.
  • Maintain accurate data and operate within established frameworks.
  • Guide clients through account setup, funding, and onboarding in partnership with client experience teams.
  • Uphold TradeStation's reputation through professionalism, courtesy, and compliance, exceeding client expectations.

Skills and Training

  • Self-motivated sales professional with excellent time management skills.
  • Experience selling to UK financial institutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail, organization, pipeline management, and documentation skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of customer account procedures and ability to assist clients effectively.
  • Knowledge of institutional trading platforms and industry competitors.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, interactive environment.
  • Prior client-facing sales and account management experience in financial institutions.
  • Understanding of US financial markets and asset classes (Equities, Options, Futures).
  • Experience managing the full sales cycle.
  • US-based online brokerage experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 7+ years of institutional financial services sales and/or trading experience.
