Job description

We have a vacancy for a Trainee Traffic Signals Installer to join our St Albans team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kick start a career within the Traffic Signals industry.

The role of the Trainee Installer will be to learn to install, refurbish, and repair a variety of equipment, including traffic signaling and other electrical street equipment such as street lighting, CCTV, and barrier systems, etc., to customer specifications. The successful candidate will have a good aptitude for learning.

Customer service is key to delivery, as well as ensuring that QHSSE regulations and procedures are followed at all times.

Although predominantly based in the St Albans area, there may be a requirement from time to time to work in other Service Centre districts, which may involve overnight stays.

In order to fulfill the role successfully, the following are some of the key skills and experience required:

  1. GCSE in English & Maths.
  2. Basic electrical knowledge
  3. Good mechanical aptitude
  4. The ability to work on own as well as part of a team
