Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is seeking an Installations Supervisor to support the Installation Manager and AIM in day-to-day team management. You will help RAMS, health and safety, and oversee installations and cost control across projects.

The role requires hands-on installation experience, strong people skills, and the ability to adapt to a fluid schedule, including weekend work; UK Driver’s Licence is preferred.

• Experience in mechanical or electrical installation.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Able to work flexibly with some weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist manage allocated customer projects ensuring dates/resources identified.
• Coordinate with Senior Project Coordinators to keep internal work planner up to date.
• Attend site surveys and project meetings providing support to IM.
• Accurately manage and provide cost control measures throughout projects with crews and suppliers.
• Deal with installation issues and escalate to the Installation Manager; maintain traceability.
• Review deliveries and installations to ensure resources are in place; liaise with account coordinators.
• Provide training and support to Team Leaders in Installation.
• Maintain health and safety records and ensure compliance with legislation.

What You Can Expect:

The Installations Supervisor will report to the Installation Manager (IM). This role is pivotal to the success of the service provided to all designated accounts within the installation team. The Installations Supervisor primary focus is to support the IM and AIM with the day-to-day management of the team; they will have sufficient experience to support all functions of the installation team. Including, Risk Assessments / Method Statements (RAMS), Health and Safety and people management.

What You Bring:

Main Activities

• Assist Manage allocated customer projects, ensuring that dates, resources, and requirements are clearly identified
• Work closely with Senior Project Coordinators to ensure Internal work planner is kept up to date and accurate
• Attend Site Surveys & Project Meetings when required – providing support to IM.
• Accurately manage and provide cost control measures throughout all projects with crews and suppliers.
• Deal with installation issues on these projects as they arise, escape to the Installation Manager when required, keeping full traceability on all issues.
• Review all allocated deliveries and installations prior to scheduling to ensure all equipment, staff and third-party suppliers are in-place and complete, liaising with all account coordinators where required.
• Liaise and have a good working relationship with the Installation Management team for the other region to ensure all work is covered efficiently as possible.
• Provide Support and Team briefings with Team Leaders running Installation.
• Audit and spot check installations and report back performance and any issues encountered, raise non-conformances, and suggest and implement corrective actions
• Asist with installations on site as and when demand requires.
• Support with Cross training and upskilling of Installation staff
• Support with timesheet authorisation and management of overtime.
• Review customer processes and suggest improvements and change.
• Encourage support & train Rhenus lead technicians to undertake site surveys and create RAMS
• Provide cover for holiday and sickness for Assistant Installations Managers
• Maintain Health and Safety records and liaise with our consultants to ensure that we work within all the relevant legislation.

• Experience of mechanical or electrical Installation
• Fluent in Microsoft applications
• Experience in dealing directly with customer contacts and good communication skills
• Be comfortable with a fluid schedule
• Most hold a full UK Drivers Licence
