Job description

Installation & Workshop Engineer

Location: Peterborough, PE2 6YN

Salary: Up to GBP45,000 including overtime

Contract: Full-time, permanent

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to execute various project phases of the OAL way, including development, installation, testing, and support.

Performance is measured by the successful delivery of projects that are safe, on time, within budget, and meet specifications, maintaining OAL's high standards for execution and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Install equipment and infrastructure at customer sites, either independently or as part of a team.
• Collaborate with team members and the wider company to ensure timely and professional project completion.
• Advise on design and requirements using your experience and technical knowledge.
• Prepare equipment in the workshop prior to deployment.
• Report faults, implement, and test design modifications.
• Support customers, team members, and other departments within OAL Group.
• Work within agreed budgets and costs.

What we need from you:

• Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls qualifications or aptitude.
• Experience in installation and testing of electrical and control systems.
• Knowledge of control systems.
• High standards of engineering implementation and execution.
• Customer relationship skills.
• Knowledge of safe working practices.
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment, conforming to site standards.
• Ideally, ECS Certification: Electrical Fitter & Electrical Safety Essentials.
