Your Life as an Installation Technician at Meesons

As an Installation Technician with us at Meesons, you will work as part of a team on installation projects nationwide, typically in teams of two or more on site. Your responsibilities will include performing site surveys, attending installation meetings, safety briefings, and toolbox talks. It is essential that you demonstrate good discipline, personal organization, enthusiasm for product and process quality, and embody Meesons' Company Values. We believe our people are the driving force behind our success. You will need to be personable, discrete, and professional at all times.

Reporting directly to our Engineering Manager, you will demonstrate strong engineering aptitude and excellent verbal communication skills, playing a vital role within our team.

What is expected from you:
  • Installation and commissioning of products within our portfolio, primarily portals and turnstiles, with occasional external work on HVM products, across the UK. Schedules can be tight, so good organizational skills and a strong work ethic are essential.
  • Coordination of onsite activities, including working with various trades from director level to laborers. Approachability, patience, and the ability to motivate colleagues are important.
  • Reporting progress to Project Managers and working efficiently within an onsite environment, with a focus on safety and productivity.
  • Handling heavy equipment, so physical fitness and the ability to move and position equipment safely are required.
Must-have skills:
  • Good mechanical aptitude and pride in your work.
  • Experience using power tools for construction and installation.
  • Understanding of DC electrical circuits and components.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo security clearance vetting, potentially to SC level. Previous experience or willingness to obtain security clearance is necessary.

  • Desirable experience: Access Control, Turnstiles, Automatic Doors.
  • CSCS card.
  • Gate Safe training (desirable).
  • SSSTS training.
