Job Title: Installation Technician

Location: Based in Thetford with regular travel to customer sites

Salary: £31,000 per annum

Hours: 39 hours per week with an early finish on Fridays

Overview

We are currently recruiting for an Installation Technician to join a growing team based in Thetford. The role involves carrying out on-site installations, maintenance, and servicing of specialist access equipment, ensuring safe and effective solutions are provided for customers.

The position requires strong practical ability, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out on-site installations safely and efficiently, following set standards and specifications.
  • Assemble and secure components using hand and power tools.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and building regulations.
  • Provide customers with clear guidance on correct product use.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments when required.
  • Work closely with supervisors and project teams to meet deadlines.
  • Keep accurate job records, including photographs and customer sign-offs.
  • Drive company vehicles to deliver equipment and materials to sites.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an installation, construction, or assembly role (preferred but not essential).
  • Confident in the safe use of hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to varying site conditions.
  • Good communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow instructions.
  • Full UK driving licence - essential.
  • CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) - advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety, including manual handling.
