Location:Stockport (with national and international travel)

Job Type:Full-time, Permanent

Based inStockport, we are a specialist in thedesign and build of inspection and simulation machines. Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and seeking anInstallation/Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)to join our workforce. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation/Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)will be responsible for the electrical/mechanicalinstallation of equipment, systems, and componentsat client sites across the UK and internationally.
  • Basic commissioning, includingsetting up software (full training provided) and calibrating cameras.
  • Fault-finding, diagnosing defects, and rectifying issues or recommending appropriate actions.
  • Supporting the control team with commissioning on-site.
  • Collaborating closely with clients, colleagues, and contractors to ensure smooth installation and maintenance processes.
  • Adhering to site, project, and health & safety regulations at all times.
  • ReadingCAD drawings and setting out datumsfor accurate installations.
  • Completing quality reports and ensuring all installations meet high standards.
  • Assisting in generalassembly work in the workshopwhen not on-site.

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification(electrical or mechanical).
  • Proven experience working as anInstallation/Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)in a similar role.
  • Ability to construct and install system equipment with confidence.
  • Experience incommissioning new equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licenseand avalid passport with no travel restrictions– essential.

  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a proactive approach.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to liaise with clients effectively.
  • Hands-on experience using hand tools and equipment.
