Job summary

TRS Consulting in the United Kingdom is seeking an Installation Engineer for Pathology Laboratory Diagnostics. The role blends a week at head office assembling systems with a week on-site installing them at NHS laboratories and clinical settings.

You will manage installation of sophisticated medical diagnostics instruments, with a strong customer focus and a background in field service or electro-mechanical engineering. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Background in customer facing field service or installation engineering in high-value electronics or electro-mechanical capital equipment.
• Broad background encouraged from laboratory devices, medical devices, pharma, ex-forces or other sectors.
• Experience with diagnostics systems (immunology, biochemistry, haematology, histology) is encouraged.
• Engineering/electronics or science subject qualification to ONC level required.
• Full training will be provided for the role.

Responsibilities

• Install laboratory diagnostics systems in pathology departments and NHS labs.
• Assemble and commission systems at head office and on-site installations.
• Provide customer-facing support during installation and handover.

The Role – Installation Engineer, Pathology Laboratory Diagnostics

This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Installation Engineer, responsible for the installation of a wide range of sophisticated medical laboratory diagnostics systems, utilised within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments.

Your Background – Installation Engineer, Pathology Laboratory Diagnostics

• A competent background in a customer facing field service or installation engineering capacity gained within any high value electronics or electro-mechanical capital equipment environment
• Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range of backgrounds including laboratory device, medical device, pharmaceutical device, ex forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar) and a wide range of other electronic or electro-mechanical from other sectors
• Engineers with experience of the diagnostics field, including autoimmune diagnostics, immunology, biochemistry, haematology, histology, microbiology and immunodiagnostics systems are also encouraged to register their interest
• A qualification in engineering, electronics or a science based subject to a minimum of ONC level is required
• Applications are welcomed from field service engineers from a broad base of sectors, as full and comprehensive product training will be provided
