TRS Consulting is seeking an Installation Engineer for Pathology Laboratory Diagnostics in the United Kingdom. The role involves installing a wide range of sophisticated medical diagnostics systems used in NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments, with a pattern of a week at head-office followed by a week on-site.

You should have a background in customer facing field service or installation engineering for high-value electro-mechanical equipment, with ONC-level engineering or science

Qualifications

• Experience in customer facing field service or installation engineering for high-value electronics or electro-mechanical equipment.
• Background from laboratory/medical device or related sectors encouraged.
• Experience with diagnostics in fields like autoimmune, immunology, biochemistry, haematology, histology, microbiology and immunodiagnostics systems encouraged.
• Qualification in engineering, electronics or science at ONC level or higher.
• Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Installation of a wide range of medical diagnostics systems; week at head-office then week on-site.
• Travel to client sites as required and perform commissioning and verification.

This market leader seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Installation Engineer, responsible for the installation of a wide range of sophisticated medical laboratory diagnostics systems, utilised within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments.

Your Background - Installation Engineer, Pathology Laboratory Diagnostics

To succeed in this exciting role, you must be able to demonstrate:

• A competent background in a customer facing field service or installation engineering capacity gained within any high value electronics or electro-mechanical capital equipment environment
• Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range of backgrounds including laboratory device, medical device, pharmaceutical device, ex forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar) and a wide range of other electronic or electro-mechanical from other sectors
• Engineers with experience of the diagnostics field, including autoimmune diagnostics, immunology, biochemistry, haematology, histology, microbiology and immunodiagnostics systems are also encouraged to register their interest
• A qualification in engineering, electronics or a science based subject to a minimum of ONC level is required
• Applications are welcomed from field service engineers from a broad base of sectors, as full and comprehensive product training will be provided
