Job summary

HSB Technical Ltd is seeking a Fire & Security Installation Engineer based in Glasgow/Scotland. You will install and commission fire alarms, intruder alarms, IP CCTV and access control systems across the Glasgow area and occasional sites across Scotland.

The role offers a permanent, full-time contract with a basic salary of £37,000–£40,000 plus overtime with OTE up to £48,000+, a company vehicle, modern tools and career progression through training and development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in the Fire & Security industry.
• Strong installation and commissioning experience with Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, IP CCTV and/or Access Control.
• Good understanding of relevant fire and intruder alarm standards and regulations.
• Full and valid UK Driving Licence.
• CSCS, ECS and/or IPAF qualifications would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to work professionally on customer sites.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and configure fire alarm, intruder alarm, IP CCTV and access control systems.
• Carry out system testing, fault finding and remedial works to ensure installations are completed to a high standard.
• Work closely with customers and project teams to ensure installations meet the required specification and customer expectations.
• Complete installation paperwork, commissioning documentation and site reports accurately and within required timescales.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant industry standards, company procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service while representing the company on customer sites.
• Liaise with management and customers regarding any technical issues, project requirements or additional works identified on site.

Typically, this person will be an experienced Fire & Security Engineer with a strong background in the installation and commissioning of electronic security and fire alarm systems. The successful candidate will predominantly cover the Glasgow area, with occasional travel to sites across Scotland.
