Job summary

Precision People UK is seeking a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer for our field team in Manchester. The role focuses on installation, planned maintenance, and fault-finding to keep life-safety systems compliant and reliable.

The ideal candidate should be based in Manchester or nearby areas and hold a full UK driving licence. DBS clearance is preferred, with on-site work and travel across Manchester and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fire alarm installation, service and maintenance.
• Previous field-based experience and happy to travel.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full clean DBS.
• Level 3 EAL or FIA qualification in Fire Alarms or similar (desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Covering travel around Manchester and surrounding areas.
• Installation and maintenance of a range of fire alarm systems within commercial environments.
• Carrying out small works when required.
• Conduct inspections, testing, diagnostics, and fault finding, producing detailed technical reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers to provide excellent service and to resolve issues promptly.

A growing fire & life safety specialist is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join its field team in Manchester. This is a hands-on role focused on planned maintenance and reactive fault-finding, keeping life-critical fire alarm systems compliant, reliable, and ready when they matter most. They are currently looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to carry out installation jobs. The ideal candidate would be based in Manchester, Oldham, Stockport, Warrington, Bolton or Rochdale.

The Role: Fire Alarm Install Engineer

• Covering travel around Manchester and surrounding areas.
• Installation and maintenance of a range of fire alarm systems within commercial environments.
• Carrying out small works when required.
• Conduct inspections, testing, diagnostics, and fault finding, producing detailed technical reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers to provide excellent service and to resolve issues promptly.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Fire Alarm Engineer:

• Previous experience in fire alarm installation, service and maintenance
• Previous field-based experience and happy to travel
• Full UK driving licence
• Driven and willing to develop
• Full clean DBS.
• Previous experience in commercial settings.
• Level 3 EAL or FIA qualification in Fire Alarms or similar (desirable but not essential)

The Package - Installation Engineer:

• Starting salary from up to £40,000 per annum - dependent on experience
• 33 days including statutory bank holidays
