Location: Ideally Midlands-based, UK-wide installs

We're looking for a Senior Garage Equipment Engineer to take the lead on lift and MOT bay installations across the UK. You'll be hands-on with 2-post, 4-post, and scissor lifts, as well as full MOT Bay setups and occasional workshop equipment.

This role suits a skilled engineer confident in running site installs independently and representing the company professionally on customer sites.

What you'll be doing:

  • Installing 2-post, 4-post, and scissor lifts, including surface and in-ground setups
  • Installing MOT Bays, including brake testers, play detectors, jacking beams, and emissions equipment
  • Occasionally fitting other garage equipment such as tyre machines and wheel balancers
  • Leading installs from layout and fixings through to final testing and sign-off
  • Interpreting technical drawings and site plans
  • Completing job sheets and handover documents accurately
  • Maintaining high health & safety standards on site

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience installing garage equipment, especially lifts and MOT Bays
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, with a basic understanding of electrical systems
  • Confident working from layout drawings and site measurements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CSCS or similar site certification (preferred)
  • Professional attitude with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to travel the UK with regular overnight stays required
