Install and CommissioningEngineer - Fire Systems

Location: London and South East

Trinity Fire & Security Systems, part of the PTSG Group, have delivered industry leading services in the Fire and Security industry for over 28 years. As we continue our growth into 2025, we are looking to strengthen our team of skilled engineers with the addition of a Fire Alarm Works Engineer.

As a Works Engineer at Trinity, you will work within a defined region of the United Kingdom, obtain certifications in industry leading systems including Gent and the opportunity to earn through our engineering commission scheme!

What is the role?

As a Works Engineer at Trinity, you will be providing installation and completing small works to our client’s fire systems. You will be completing the scheduled work in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to Trinity’s high-quality standards. You will be working as part of a skilled team of Works Engineer’s and will be supported by our wider support departments to provide high quality service and customer experience.

The key tasks include the following:

  • Carry out all other necessary works required at customer premises in accordance with the Company’s quality standards.
  • Effectively communicate with customers to ensure a good understanding of system and site status.
  • Liaise with works administrators and other internal stakeholders to ensure our commitments are met.
  • Work to a planned install and small works schedule.

What systems experience do you need?


Required - Gent, Notifier, Advanced, Kentec

What skills do you need?

  • Experience in installing and completing small works fire systems to relevant British Standards.
  • Ability to identify all types of cable associated with fire detection systems, and to correctly test and terminate the cable ends in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions.
  • A logical approach to system fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • To always provide outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

What technical knowledge do you need?

  • Understand the basic building services to test cause and effect of fire alarm interfaces.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as recommending changes to the systems.
  • Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
