Job summary

Great Yarmouth College is seeking a motivated Sports Lecturer to join the Sport and Public Services area at the Great Yarmouth Campus. The role involves delivering engaging lessons across Foundation provision and contributing to the development of the new sport programme.

You will support learners to build knowledge, skills and confidence for further study, apprenticeships or employment in sport, while adhering to safeguarding and inclusion practices and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Degree in Sport, Sports Science, Physical Education or related subject.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience delivering engaging learning programmes to young people.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality sport lessons and practical sessions.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress and maximise achievement.
• Support curriculum development and enhancement of sport programmes.
• Act as personal tutor and promote student engagement and attendance.
• Contribute to enrichment activities, trips, events and employer engagement.
