Job summary

The RSPB Ham Wall in Somerset invites a talented leader to manage land, habitats and visitor operations at a flagship wetland reserve. You will guide a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, oversee budgets and collaborate with partners to deliver conservation excellence and outstanding visitor experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in land or habitat management.
• Experience supporting visitor operations.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering projects.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience leading staff or volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations for habitats, people, visitors, finance and compliance.
• Inspire and develop a team of reserve staff and volunteers.
• Review and implement reserve management and business plans.
• Act as main contact for community, neighbours and partners.
• Support project and budget delivery; manage deadlines and priorities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and use of digital tools/SIs.
• Foster inclusive policies and a positive team culture.
