Job summary

SEND Inclusion Support is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to deliver accessible and engaging science lessons for pupils with a wide range of abilities and needs. You will plan, adapt and assess to meet individual learning plans in a trauma-informed environment.

The role focuses on practical science that builds curiosity and confidence, while supporting anxiety or engagement challenges with calm, structured teaching.

Qualifications

• Qualified to teach Science with appropriate subject expertise and teaching experience.
• Passionate about Science and able to share that passion with pupils.
• Able to adapt teaching for pupils with SEND and trauma-informed needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging Science lessons.
• Teach Science across an appropriate range of ages and abilities.
• Adapt teaching, resources and assessment to meet individual pupil needs.
• Develop pupils' understanding of scientific concepts through practical and hands-on learning.
• Encourage curiosity, questioning and independent thinking.
