Job summary

Akeley Wood School in Buckingham is seeking a proactive Teacher of Science to deliver high-quality teaching across KS3–KS5. You will teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics at KS3 and KS4/KS5 within your subject specialism, contributing to a collaborative school community that values excellence and student achievement.

The role requires UK QTS, the ability to teach physics, chemistry and biology, and a full UK driving licence. Starting January 2027, permanent contract; term-time only.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status required.
• Ability to teach Physics, Chemistry and Biology across KS3–KS5 (KS4/5 preferred).
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding science lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.
• Plan, assess and monitor learning with accurate records of attendance and progress.
• Create an inclusive learning environment and promote high behavioural standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and school initiatives.
