Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is helping a reputable secondary school in Telford recruit a dedicated Science Teacher to join its science department. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, aligned with the national curriculum and KS3–KS4, with potential KS5 opportunities.

You should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification, bring strong subject knowledge, and be committed to safeguarding and inclusion.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Science.
• Effective classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage students and encourage independent thinking.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics according to your subject specialism.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Adapt lessons to support students with different abilities and learning needs.
• Promote safe and effective practice during practical investigations.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and high expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching and learning.
