Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for primary schools in the BB4 area (Rossendale) starting September 2026. You will support pupils academically and personally, helping them thrive in a welcoming school environment.

Whether experienced or stepping into education, you will work with staff to boost progress, build positive relationships with pupils and parents, and uphold safeguarding commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Patient, enthusiastic and nurturing demeanor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.
• Work with individuals and small groups to boost progress.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities.
• Build positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents.
