Job summary

Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in a Newcastle primary school from November on a full-time and long-term basis. The successful candidate will plan and teach engaging lessons, differentiate for all abilities, assess pupil progress using varied methods, manage behaviour positively,

Qualifications

• QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
• Experience of short, medium and long-term planning.
• Experience using a range of methods to assess pupil progress.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service) or willingness to process a new one.
• Ability to build rapport and strong relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging and informative lessons that support all pupils to make progress.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Assess pupil progress using varied methods and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain positive, proactive classroom behaviour management.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create an excellent learning environment.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to maximise educational experiences.
