Job summary

REESON Education is seeking a dedicated PE Teacher for a secondary SEN setting in Harrow starting September. The role is full-time with potential for permanent placement and involves teaching students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and additional needs.

You will adapt PE lessons to suit abilities, encourage participation and confidence, and work with teaching assistants and the SEN team to maintain high standards of behaviour and progress.

Qualifications

• QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.
• Previous PE teaching experience.
• Experience working with SLD or complex SEN is desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt lessons for different abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver PE lessons for students with SLD.
• Adapt activities to meet individual learning and physical needs.
• Encourage participation, communication, and confidence.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Work alongside teaching assistants and the wider SEN team.
