Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a proactive Music Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in the Preston area.

This full-time, long-term role offers the opportunity to inspire students through engaging, practical and creative Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 duty possible for the right candidate. The successful applicant will plan and deliver comprehensive Music curricula, support pupil development, and contribute to department initiatives in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4.
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Music education.
• Experience teaching KS5 would be highly desirable, but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Supporting pupils in developing their practical, theoretical and creative musical skills.
• Preparing students for assessments and examinations at KS4.
• Creating an inclusive and positive classroom environment that encourages pupils of all abilities to participate.
• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
• Contributing to the wider Music department and supporting extracurricular activities.
• Teaching KS5 Music, if experienced and confident to do so.
