Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join a welcoming Doncaster secondary school. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills and building their confidence in language learning.

With QTS or equivalent and strong subject knowledge, you will assess progress, adapt teaching to different abilities and prepare students for GCSE examinations. Start date: September 2026.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Strong subject knowledge in the relevant modern foreign language.
• Experience teaching MFL in a secondary school setting.
• Confidence planning lessons, assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet pupils' needs.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine enthusiasm for language learning and helping students succeed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach the relevant language curriculum, developing pupils' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Use varied teaching strategies and resources to make language learning accessible and enjoyable.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Adapt lessons to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Prepare students for assessments and GCSE examinations where appropriate.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management in line with school policies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning and pupil progress.
