Job summary

Academics is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher for a Good-rated secondary school in Buckinghamshire. Based in Aylesbury, the role starts October 2026, full-time on a temporary-permanent basis.

You will teach KS3/KS4 (KS5 optional), plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to department improvement in a well-resourced environment. QTS/PGCE required; DBS check will be undertaken.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maths teacher with PGCE or QTS (or equivalent).
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to inspire students.
• Clear communication and team player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 (and possibly KS5).
• Plan engaging lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
• Assess and monitor student progress.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
