Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Lecturer in Maths to join the English and Maths department. You will deliver high-quality teaching, plan engaging schemes of work, monitor learner progress, and provide tutorial support across Tresham College’s Kettering and Corby campuses.

The role requires a relevant Maths qualification, strong classroom management, and commitment to CPD, safeguarding and college values.

Qualifications

Relevant degree or Level 5 qualification in Maths with GCSE English and maths, supported by experience teaching and assessing GCSE Maths programmes.
Ability to deliver high-quality, engaging teaching with strong classroom management and learner progression.
Up-to-date subject knowledge with commitment to CPD and reflective practice.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and collaboration skills for cross-team work.
Committed to safeguarding, equality and college values, with flexibility to work across sites.

Responsibilities

Teach across English programmes and levels, helping learners develop skills, confidence and potential.
Plan and deliver engaging schemes of work and learning materials; contribute to curriculum development.
Monitor learner progress, assess work to awarding body standards and implement timely interventions to support achievement.
Provide individual and group tutorial support; promote positive behaviour and enrichment activities.
Maintain accurate records, participate in team meetings, and uphold safeguarding and CPD responsibilities.
