Job summary

Explore Learning Ltd seeks a Maths and English Tutor for Addiscombe. You will act as a coach and mentor, delivering sessions tailored to each learner using Compass, and building relationships in a small-group setting.

You’ll support progression through the national curriculum, 11+ entrance exams, and GCSE preparation. Ideal candidates are 16+, with the right to work in the UK, and a GCSE Grade 6+ in Maths and English.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 or over and have the right to work in the UK.
• GCSE Maths & English grade 6+ (or predicted) required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and long-term support for members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored sessions using Compass, fostering learning through questioning and scaffolding.
• Build meaningful relationships in a 1:6 group setting to create a safe, inspiring learning environment.
• Support learners with national curriculum, 11+ and GCSE preparation, tracking progress and milestones.
