Job summary

New Horizons Children's Academy, part of The Thinking Schools Academy Trust, is seeking a Year 5 Class Teacher to join its KS2 team. The successful candidate can be an experienced teacher or an ECT, eager to contribute to our academy and trust, and to provide a nurturing, safe learning environment.

The role requires a passion for primary education, engaging lessons, and high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or on track to obtain QTS
• Strong ability to plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons
• Experience in primary education and a commitment to high standards of behaviour

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a creative, stimulating KS2 curriculum.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour in the class.
• Collaborate with the KS2 team to support academy development.
• Deliver engaging lessons and monitor pupil progress.
