Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is assisting an independent school in Kingston upon Thames in their search for a History Teacher. The role covers KS3 and KS4 with potential KS5, on a permanent, full-time basis and requires ASAP start.

The successful candidate will deliver an engaging History curriculum, help students develop analytical and argumentative writing, and work with the Humanities team on curriculum planning and enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• History degree or relevant degree.
• QTS.
• Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
• GCSE teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the History curriculum.
• Ability to motivate and challenge students of different abilities.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach History across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5.
• Plan engaging lessons and monitor student progress.
• Develop students' historical writing and GCSE readiness.
