Job summary

C Cheltenham College is seeking an experienced Early Years Foundation Stage Teacher for a fixed-term contract from January to December 2027. You will join the Nursery School team, planning engaging activities for 2 years 8 months to 4-year-olds and supporting their development and wellbeing.

The role works under the Head of Pre-Prep within a thriving campus community. The ideal candidate holds QTS, EYTS or Level 6, with at least two years’ EYFS experience, a strong grasp of early literacy,

Qualifications

• Holds QTS, EYTS or a relevant Level 6 qualification.
• Has at least two years’ experience working with children aged five and under.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and child development from birth to five.
• Ability to plan and differentiate engaging learning experiences to meet individual needs.
• Knowledge of early literacy, phonics and early mathematics.
• Supports children’s speech, language and communication, plus social and emotional development.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Builds warm relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Understands safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing, and works well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging learning experiences for children aged 2 years 8 months to 4 years.
• Support individual development and wellbeing under the Head of Pre-Prep.
• Collaborate with the Nursery School team to provide a stimulating environment.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of young learners in all activities.
