Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking a Nursery Teacher for a full-time, long-term role commencing November 2026. The school serves children aged 2–11, with a strong focus on inclusion, wellbeing and academic success, and holds a Good/Outstanding profile in Personal Development.

The role requires QTS or equivalent and Nursery/ EYFS experience. Responsibilities include planning engaging activities in line with EYFS, observing progress, building strong links with families, and upholding safeguarding standards

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching within Nursery or Early Years settings.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework.
• Excellent knowledge of child development and early childhood education.
• Ability to create engaging, child-centred learning opportunities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences in line with the EYFS Framework.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive nursery environment.
• Support children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Observe, assess, and monitor children’s progress.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Promote independence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing.
