Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an English Teacher for Leicester to start ASAP. This full-time role offers permanent or long-term supply options and covers KS3/KS4 (KS5 if experience). You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and support SEND/EAL learners. QTS/QTLS and a degree in English are required; ECTs welcome with induction and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a degree in English or a related subject.
• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience).
• Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure strong outcomes.
• Contribute to departmental development, literacy initiatives, and curriculum enrichment.
• Support extracurricular activities such as writing clubs, debating, or school productions.
