Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.

• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum.
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Present material according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Plan and use varied instructional strategies and materials.
• Assess student learning and use results to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with special education to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Collaborate with staff to set goals and methods.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Analyze and improve students' study methods.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement.
• Lead extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Be a positive role model and support district mission.
• Create classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Manage student behavior per code of conduct.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Assist in selection of books and materials.
• Communicate with parents, students, and staff.
• Maintain professional relationships.
• Present information clearly.
• Participate in staff development.
• Stay informed of policies and comply with regulations.
• Compile and file reports and records.
• Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
