Job summary

James Knott Primary School is seeking an inspiring Early Years Support Assistant to join our dedicated team. The role is a one-year fixed term contract starting September 2026, 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days.

You will plan and engage in play and learning activities, contribute to assessments, and promote inclusion. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding procedures; interviews will be held on Wednesday 15th July.

Qualifications

• Experience in early years settings or similar environments.
• Ability to support children's physical, emotional, social and cognitive development.
• Ability to plan, deliver and review play-based learning activities.
• Commitment to inclusion and providing equal access to learning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children have access to activities that support development.
• Plan and engage in play, care and learning activities.
• Maintain high standards and contribute to policy development.
