Job summary

Academics is seeking a proactive Secondary Design & Technology Teacher for Warrington starting in September. The role offers flexible daily supply, short-term, and long-term placements across supportive secondary schools.

Teach KS3/KS4 in D&T (Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics, Engineering or Food Technology); maintain high workshop safety; guide students through practical projects.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Design & Technology or related field.
• Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for D&T KS3/KS4 and health & safety guidelines.
• Experience managing practical workshop environments safely.

Responsibilities

• Teach KS3/KS4 Design & Technology across relevant subject areas.
• Deliver practical and theoretical lessons and supervise workshop activities.
• Ensure high health and safety standards in workshop environments.
• Guide students through design-and-make projects and coursework.
