Job summary

DMG Recruiting is working with a respected secondary school in Southampton, Hampshire, to recruit a passionate Computer Science Teacher. You will deliver engaging lessons and support student progress across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The role is full-time and permanent, with January 2027 start (or as soon as possible). You should hold QTS or equivalent and a degree in Computer Science, and you must be committed to safeguarding pupils and contributing to the school community.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent credential required.
• Degree in Computer Science or related subject.
• Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level.
• Excellent subject knowledge and curriculum understanding.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding pupils.

Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 & 4.
• Prepare and assess work in line with the national curriculum standards.
• Support students' progress and promote coding and technology interest.
• Contribute to the CS department and wider school community.
• Participate in extra-curricular activities such as coding clubs and competitions.
