Job summary

Canon Peter Hall Church of England Primary School is seeking a Class Teacher on a 0.6FTE fixed-term basis. The post involves delivering a broad, balanced curriculum in line with the National Curriculum, supporting pupil progress, and working with Teaching Assistants to support learning.

The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, promote safeguarding, and help sustain the school’s Christian ethos.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad, balanced curriculum aligned with the National Curriculum.
• Support and monitor the progress and development of all pupils.
• Foster a stimulating, creative learning environment and differentiate teaching.
• Contribute to curriculum development, courses and assessment and their review.
• Direct and supervise the work of Teaching Assistants.
• Liaise with colleagues and external professionals (Specialist teachers, LAAT support services, health professionals and social workers).
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and ensure safeguarding policies are followed.
• Promote the school’s Christian ethos and follow school policies.
