Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Business & Economics Teacher to join a secondary school in Morpeth. You will deliver engaging lessons for KS4 and KS5, align planning with the national curriculum, and monitor student progress to drive academic achievement.

The role requires QTS, a relevant degree, PGCE or equivalent, and a commitment to safeguarding. Immediate start available for a temporary contract with potential to go permanent.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• A recognised PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in Business, Economics or a related subject.
• Previous experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum requirements.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate on Update Service or willingness to process a new application.
• Professional teaching references covering the last two years.

Responsabilités

• Teach Business Studies and Economics across KS4 and KS5.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination specifications.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment promoting student engagement and achievement.
• Assess, monitor and record students' progress and attainment.
• Differentiate lessons to support varying abilities and learning needs.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
