Job Description:

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join our dynamic educational team in Shrewsbury. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for physical education and sports and will be dedicated to encouraging students at KS3 to KS5 to stay active, healthy, and engaged in physical activity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and the development of physical skills.
• Teach a range of physical activities, from traditional sports to fitness, health, and well-being topics, to students at KS3 and KS5.
• Develop a curriculum that meets national standards and fosters a love of physical activity in all students.
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback on improvement.
• Create an inclusive and motivating environment in which students feel encouraged to push their boundaries.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the PE Department to organize extracurricular sports events, teams, and activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS5 level.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students through physical activity.

• Creative in lesson planning and delivering engaging activities.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage both in-class and extracurricular PE activities.
