RPS has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector to work in the Asset Management team, inspecting and providing feedback on the condition of assets and infrastructure to support the goals of the Water Consulting Business Stream across the UK.

RPS Water Consulting is a team of engineers, modellers, and data analysts providing asset management and operational strategy development to water industry clients. We support business planning and delivery in a challenging and evolving industry that values innovation, dedication, and teamwork.

About You

As a key member of our Water Consultancy, your role as an Inspector is crucial in delivering successful projects for our clients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of water project experts on various capital delivery projects.

Your Responsibilities
  • Inspect and report on water and sewage infrastructure assets, capturing features and relevant safety and structural information.
  • Develop and follow policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a skilled team to meet KPIs and grow the business.
  • Prepare inspection reports.
  • Support asset management framework objectives through additional responsibilities.
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
  • Experience in civil/structural engineering inspection, water site work, or related utilities.
  • Experience inspecting structural features, pipe bridges, and pipelines is beneficial.
  • IT skills are essential, including familiarity with MS 365 for electronic reporting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety culture and its application.
