Overview

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections and contract monitoring as part of a demanding programme of improvement and maintenance works.
• Apply extended knowledge of a wide variety of roads construction methods.
• Maintain highly developed record keeping skills and work with strong teamwork to achieve project goals.
• Work independently on routine inspections and sites while coordinating with the rest of the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Extended relevant working experience and ability to work under pressure.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of the Roads and Transportation system ‘Confirm’ and the Scottish Roads Works Register is desirable.
• HNC or equivalent (SVQ3 or City & Guilds Level 4) in a relevant subject.

Additional Information

Your reporting base will be Station House, Bellshill and you will have an operational area within North Lanarkshire. The post may involve work throughout North Lanarkshire and outside public transport routes; therefore, a current driving licence is essential.
