Job description

Carbon60 is partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit an Inspector for the Inspection department. Lufthansa Technik is a global leader in maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This permanent position is available due to company growth. The role involves detailed inspection of aircraft components using manual measuring tools and recording data in Lufthansa Technik's SAP system.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform detailed inspections of all components, excluding those requiring quarantine due to incidents or accidents, using current criteria and inspection equipment.
  • Create and modify component overhaul and repair routes within SAP.
  • Ensure all information such as P/N, S/N, and condition is accurately recorded in the Repair Order and SAP system.
  • Measure components accurately as needed.
  • Liaise with colleagues and engineers for component repair and overhaul.
  • Train and mentor team members based on your qualifications and experience.
  • Maintain a Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
  • Participate in daily department meetings.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Extensive experience in aerospace engineering or a similar field.
  • Background in mechanical component inspection.
  • Proficient in PC use.
  • Experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment.

Shift pattern: Double day shifts, Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, alternating weekly (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm).
