Qualifications

  • Extensive experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment.
  • Previous mechanical component inspection background.
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake and complete detailed inspections of aircraft components.
  • Create and modify component overhaul/repair routes within SAP.
  • Record all information in the Repair Order and SAP system.

Overview

Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for an Inspector within the Inspection department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry. This Inspector position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion.

In this role you will be responsible for the detailed inspection of aircraft components using manual measuring tools and inputting data onto Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear's SAP system to record condition of component.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake and complete a detailed inspection of all components (with exception of components which require a quarantine process due to incident / accident) using latest criteria and inspection equipment.
  • Creation and modification of component overhaul / Repair routes within SAP as required.
  • Ensuring that all information (I.E. P/N, S/N and Condition) is recorded in the shop Repair Order and on LTLGS SAP system.
  • Carry out accurate measurement of components where required due to workload.
  • Liaise with colleagues and engineers in other departments to organise component repair and overhaul.
  • Train and mentor other team personnel within the role subject to your qualifications and experience.
  • Maintain a personal Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
  • Actively participate in department daily dialog meetings.
Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment.
  • Previous mechanical component inspection background.
  • PC literate.
  • Previous experience working within an SAP computer system would advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of inspection techniques and equipment.
  • Previous practical experience using imperial measurement tools.

  • Double day shifts Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday (plenty of notice given) — one week 6am to 2pm and one week 2pm to 10pm, alternating weekly.
  • Up to £34,078 salary with shift allowance included within this.
