Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of machined components.
  • Confident in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience using inspection and measurement tools.
  • Familiar with MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bonded stores operations including component check-in/check-out.
  • Perform detailed incoming inspections using various metrology tools.
  • Complete and maintain inspection records and documentation.
  • Update MRP and procurement systems for stock accuracy.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and support annual stock take processes.
  • Pack and ship goods to internal and external sites.
  • Raise and manage any quality or non-conformance issues.
  • Support the MAIT team in assembly and test tasks.

Skills

Inspection Technician

Location: Near Didcot

Salary: Up to £45,000 DoE

Hours: Permanent, Full-Time day shift Monday - Friday

We’re seeking an experienced Inspection Technician to join a forward-thinking manufacturing and technology business, supporting high-spec projects in a fast-paced production environment.

Inspection Technician Responsibilities:
  • Manage bonded stores operations, including component check-in/check-out and kitting.

  • Perform detailed incoming inspection using verniers, micrometres, pin gauges, and other metrology tools.

  • Complete and maintain inspection records and documentation.

  • Update MRP and procurement systems to ensure stock accuracy.

  • Conduct regular stock counts and support annual stock take processes.

  • Pack and ship goods to internal and external sites as required.

  • Raise and manage any quality or non-conformance issues.

  • Support the MAIT team in day-to-day assembly, integration, and test tasks.

  • Ensure compliance with COSHH and Health & Safety procedures.

Inspection Technician Profile:
  • Strong technical knowledge of machined components.

  • Confident in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings, tolerances, and surface finishes.

  • Hands-on experience using inspection and measurement tools.

  • Familiar with MRP systems and Microsoft Office.

  • High attention to detail and a process-driven approach.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Full UK driving licence (inter-site travel required).
