Job description

Your expertise in inspection can drive our excellence – join us.

Your Role

This role is responsible for the day to day operational functionality and performance of the inspection operations from off-load of trailers, to presentation for inspection, and reload on to trailers. Shift rotation 4 days on 4 days off.

Your Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
  • Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with manual handling procedures
  • Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
  • Take instruction from our on-site partners to support the inspection process
  • Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
  • Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
  • Maintain the inspection environment following training
  • COSHH Awareness following training
  • Assist drivers locating bays, support drivers in direction to bays and offices
  • Champion a health and safety culture
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Logistics experience in a large fast moving environment
  • Strong warehouse system experience
  • A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
  • Experience of working to agreed targets
  • Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. picking, loading
  • Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in an organised and informed manner
  • Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good communication skills and a high level of accountability by leading an example to team members
  • Motivate team members to excel and place the customer at the centre of all decision making
  • High attention to detail
