Do you want to join our Geo-data revolution? Fugro’s global reach and unique know-how will put the world at your fingertips. Our love of exploration and technical expertise help us to provide our clients with invaluable insights. We source and make sense of the most relevant Geo-data for their needs, so they can design, build, and operate their assets more safely, sustainably, and efficiently. We’re always looking for new talent to take the next step with us — for bright minds who enjoy meaningful work and want to push our pioneering spirit further. We seek individuals who can take initiative but work well within a team.
As an Offshore Inspection Engineer, you will assist with onshore or offshore project preparation activities, including managing online data recording systems, offline data editing, and quality control for structural and pipeline inspections. Offshore, you will work closely with Inspectors, Surveyors, Engineers, Data Processors, and ROV personnel to ensure all inspection and survey equipment functions effectively and data is collected accurately and efficiently. Regular communication with the onboard team and clients when required is essential. You will collaborate with the Aberdeen-based MAI Client Deliverables Team, which provides ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle.
You should have formal qualifications at least to HND level in Engineering or IT. Possession of an up-to-date CSWIP 3.4u or 3.3u certification is preferred; however, we are open to discussing candidates holding a 3.0 or above who are eager to progress to 3.4u. Previous offshore experience with ROVs as an Inspection Engineer or Coordinator in UKCS, along with MS Office skills, is required.
You will ensure the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all ROV platform and vessel-based pipeline and structural inspections.
Responsibilities include QC of inspection data, real-time video data quality control, and accurate completion of data sheets. You will also record and report anomalies identified during inspections to the Inspection Coordinator, Superintendent/OVM, and Client promptly, based on the significance of findings.
Assist in project reporting and delivery according to Fugro and client specifications, document any scope or procedure variations, and communicate these to the Client Deliverables department. Promote teamwork at the worksite, ensuring effective communication during shift handovers.
Fugro provides a positive work environment and stimulating projects for curious minds. We offer opportunities for personal growth and development, empowering you to excel and contribute to our mission of understanding the earth better.
